CAC LAUNCHES AI-POWERED REGISTRATION PORTAL TO REVOLUTIONIZE BUSINESS REGISTRATION IN NIGERIA

CAC LAUNCHES AI-POWERED REGISTRATION PORTAL TO REVOLUTIONIZE BUSINESS REGISTRATION IN NIGERIA

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has unveiled a new Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered registration portal, marking a significant milestone in its transformative initiatives. This cutting-edge technology is set to overhaul the Company Registration Portal (CRP) and make doing business in Nigeria more efficient.

At the 2025 Stakeholders Forum in Port Harcourt, the Registrar-General/CEO of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, announced the launch of the new portal. According to Magaji, the portal features instant name reservations, intelligent name suggestions, and the ability to register businesses using only a director’s or proprietor’s National Identification Number (NIN).

The CAC aims to process business registrations within 30 minutes, generating certificates and delivering them to customers’ emails, subject to real-time NIN verification. To address potential delays due to external validation from NIMC, the CAC has developed a contingency solution using AI-powered photo ID matching.

The Commission is also exploring partnerships with super agents, including the Nigerian Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS), and has received over 100 requests from potential partners. Upcoming services include Two-Factor Authentication & OTP Verification for all transactions and a CAC Mobile App, expected to launch by the last quarter of this year.

To maintain quality service delivery, the CAC has reviewed certain service fees, effective August 1, 2025. The launch event featured goodwill messages from prominent stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Port Harcourt Branch, and technical support from the CAC team to resolve customer complaints.

This development is poised to significantly improve the business registration process in Nigeria, making it more efficient and user-friendly.

Mass Defection Hits Osun as PDP, Omoluabi Members Join APC Ahead of 2026 Governorship Poll

Mass Defection Hits Osun as PDP, Omoluabi Members Join APC Ahead of 2026 Governorship Poll

Scores of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Omoluabi Progressive Group, loyal to former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State.

The mass defection took place over the weekend during a ceremony organised by the APC in Ejigbo Local Government Area and held at the Ilupeju Multipurpose Hall.

Receiving the defectors, Senator Mudashiru Husain, the Ejigbo APC apex leader and governorship hopeful, described the development as a major boost for the party ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

Husain noted that despite APC’s current position as the opposition party in Osun, its ranks continue to swell due to what he called “purposeful and inclusive leadership.”

He said the influx of new members from PDP and Omoluabi Group was evidence of growing support for APC’s ideals of social welfarism, economic growth, and human capital development, championed by President Bola Tinubu.

“The team spirit among our leaders in Ejigbo is working. Our efforts have yielded results, and this is just the beginning,” Husain stated.

He urged the new defectors to remain steadfast in their commitment to progressive politics, assuring them of fairness and equal opportunities within the party.

Speaking on his governorship ambition, Husain said it was not a do-or-die affair but a responsibility grounded in loyalty, experience, and grassroots acceptance.

Leaders of the defectors, Hon. Wole Olajire of the Omoluabi Group and Hon. Kareem Mubarak from PDP, cited disillusionment with their former platforms and confidence in APC’s leadership as reasons for their move.

Ejigbo LG Chairman, Hon. Ayegbayo Gbolahan, West LCDA Chairman, Hon. Olayanju Kolapo, and APC LG Chairman, Hon. Lateef Adegoke, also pledged full support to the new members and committed to working for APC’s victory in 2026.

“Nasarawa is proof that Renewed Hope is not theory. It is delivery. We must keep building.” – President Tinubu

“Nasarawa is proof that Renewed Hope is not theory. It is delivery. We must keep building.” – President Tinubu

I recently had the privilege of visiting Nasarawa, where I witnessed firsthand the impact of focused, people-centered leadership.

The state is making significant strides in infrastructure development, job creation, and empowering women and vulnerable groups.

Strategic Investments

The projects commissioned, including the Lafia Flyover and State Secretariat Complex, demonstrate Governor Sule’s commitment to building a better future for Nasarawa’s citizens. These investments will have a lasting impact on the state’s growth and development.

Mindset Shift

What impresses me most is the mindset shift in Nasarawa. The state is prioritizing peace, security, and the well-being of its citizens. Governor Sule’s provision of operational vehicles to security agencies is a testament to this commitment.

Empowering Women and Vulnerable Groups

I was pleased to launch the Renewed Hope Social Impact Program for Women, Children, and Families. This initiative will empower rural households, women farmers, and vulnerable families with practical tools for transformation.

A Model for Others

Nasarawa’s progress is a shining example for other states to follow. I commend Governor Sule for his dedication to peace, security, and development.

The federal government will continue to support states that are serious about delivery.

Renewed Hope in Action

Nasarawa is proof that Renewed Hope is not just a theory, but a reality. We must continue to build on this momentum and work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians.
