“The APERO MEKUNU Advocacy group has adopted the ZENITH LABOUR PARTY as their political party for the 2027 general election.
Last year, on June 1, 2025, they joined the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, and the convenor of the advocacy group Sideeq Bola, a.k.a Amoye Bola Sideeq became the state chairman of the party.
The Apero Mekunu advocacy group hereby invites the masses to join the movement for the actualization of a people-oriented political system. Apero Mekunu has been in Kwara State since 2021 and has been known for their nonpartisanship.
The group has consistently maintained a regular radio presence and grassroots outreach throughout Kwara, Oyo, Ondo, and Ogun states.When asked why the group chose to go political, the leader of the group said that his mission was not to contest the election but to introduce an ideological trend into our political culture.
But he decided to adopt a political platform after noticing that most politicians never wanted an ideologically driven politics that would be of benefit to the Nigerian masses.
