I Struggle Hafsoh Lawal To Death During Sex, Abdulrahman Bello Confess in Court

Abdulrahman Bello, a 29-year-old Self Acclaimed cleric, stunned a Kwara State court on Tuesday by confessing in a video that he strangled 24-year-old Hafsoh Lawal to death during sex.

The shocking revelation was made during a court sitting on 4th June before Judge Anna Olushoda Ajayi. Two witnesses were present: Ayodeji Joshua, a DSS officer, and Dr Kunle Adebowale, Vice Chairman of CDHR.

Ayodeji presented a video recording in which Abdulrahman confessed to the crime . The entire courtroom fell silent as everyone felt the pain Hafsoh must have experienced in her final moments.

The judge adjourned the case to 11th June for Abdulrahman to testify to the video’s contents.

The Story So far

The tragic tale began on 10th February 2025 when Hafsoh, a final-year student at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, went missing. She had attended a naming ceremony that day. While eating at the event, she received a phone call and left, never to be seen again.

Her father, Mr Ibrahim A. Lawal, reported her missing at the C Division Oja Oba Police the next day.

Police investigations quickly led to Abdulrahman Bello. Forensic analysis traced Hafsoh’s last phone call to him. Abdulrahman, an Islamic cleric from Offa Garage, Ilorin, initially denied knowing her. However, police searching his home were horrified to find Hafsoh’s dismembered body stuffed inside a bowl.

Faced with the evidence, Abdulrahman changed his story. He now claimed that Hafsoh had died from an asthma attack while at his home.

Investigators remained unconvinced, especially after finding tools that suggested she had been cut up deliberately. Many now believe Hafsoh’s killing was for ritual purposes.

It was revealed that Abdulrahman and Hafsoh had met on Facebook and that on that fateful day, he lured her to his house under the pretext of a friendly visit.

Ladies and everyone need to be more careful. The world is full of dangerous people. Investigation is still ongoing, but one thing is clear: Hafsoh’s family and community want justice.

Trump ban 10 countries for entering US

The restrictions will cover certain types of visas for citizens of each of these countries

WASHINGTON, June 5. /TASS/. Citizens from 12 countries will be banned to enter the United States from Monday while limitations on entry will be imposed for citizens of seven more countries, according to US President Donald Trump’s proclamation.

The entry ban will apply to citizens of Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. The ban will come into effect from 00:01 a.m. EST (04:01 a.m. GMT) on June 9.

A partial entry ban will apply to citizens of Burundi, Venezuela, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, and Turkmenistan. The restrictions will cover certain types of visas for citizens of each of these countries.

However, according to the document, visas that were issued before this proclamation comes in force will continue to be valid.

One of the governors in the country, Abba Yusuf of Kano State has declared Monday, June 2, 2025 Public Holiday in sympathy with families of the 22 athletes of the state who died on Saturday while returning from the National Sports Festival.

This is contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.

Dawakin Tofa said the governor had expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

The victims, whom were members of the Kano State contingents and mostly in their youthful age, lost their lives while returning from the festival which held in Ogun State

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I received the tragic news of the unfortunate incident which claimed the lives of 22 innocent citizens and left several others injured.

On behalf of the government and the good people of Kano State, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. We mourn with you and share in your grief,” the Governor said.

He described the tragedy as a dark moment for the entire state and called for calm and unity during this difficult period.

He assured that all necessary efforts are being made to support the victims and their families.

“While His Excellency is away in Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj Operation, he directed that Monday, 2nd June 2025, be declared a public holiday for the good people of Kano to pray and sympathize with the families of the victims.

“The state also calls on Imams and all muslims within and outside Kano to pray for the departed souls and their respective families to bear the loss,” the statement added.

The Olu of Epe Kingdom, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, has been confirmed dead. The revered monarch reportedly passed away in the early hours of Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the age of 86.

The late king, who was the 19th ruler of the Epe Kingdom, will be laid to rest later today according to Islamic rites.

High Chief Odedeogboro Balogun of Epe Kingdom, Musiliu Adeniyi, confirmed the monarch’s passing on Saturday.

“The news is true. It was this morning.

He will be buried 4 o’clock today,” Adeniyi said.

Before ascending the throne, Oba Adewale held several prominent traditional titles. He first served as the Otun-Balogun, the third-highest chieftaincy title in Epe, and was later elevated to the position of Balogun before being crowned Olu of Epe.

Outside his royal duties, the late monarch had a distinguished career in public service. He retired as a Director of Administration in the Ministry of Education and also served as Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Lands.

Akwa Ibom Governor’s Daughter Accuses Father Of Sacrificing Late First Lady, Alleges Threat To Life

Jane Edidiong Ufot, the daughter of Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, has posted a video on social media accusing him of sacrificing his deceased wife (her mother). Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno died in September 2024 over an undisclosed illness.

Mrs Ufot, appointed as a senior special adviser to the governor on health, safety and environment, blasted her father, insisting that she would not be sacrificed the way her mother was, alleging a sinister threat to her life and that of her little daughter.

“I’m not a sacrifice, mummy was, but I’m not,” thundered the governor’s daughter.

Mrs Ufot handed the phone to her little daughter, who appeared to be on a video call with Mr Eno. Mrs Ufot told her daughter to ask the governor whether he wanted to kill her (his grandchild).

“So, Grandpa, do you want them to kill us?” the minor asked, repeating the question as instructed. “Do you want them to die like my baby brother died?”

There was no audible response from the governor during the exchange, and it remains unclear who the child was referring to when she mentioned “them.”

Mrs Ufot said her life was on the line due to undisclosed revelations that may soon come to light.

“If I die today or my daughter dies. If we die because God is exposing the truth, so be it. But my blood will not go scot-free,” the governor’s daughter cried out.

Efforts to get the governor’s comment on his daughter’s accusations were unsuccessful as the line of his media aide, Ekerete Udoh, was switched off.
