Terrorist Commander Threatens to Abduct Military Officers, President Tinubu

Terrorist Commander Threatens to Abduct Military Officers, President Tinubu

A self-acclaimed terrorist commander has issued a chilling warning that his group will soon target military officers, state governors, and even President Bola Tinubu for abduction. In a disturbing video, the armed militant, wearing a Nigerian military jacket, boasted about recent kidnappings of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states.

The terrorist, whose identity has not been confirmed, claimed that the Nigerian government has failed in its responsibility to protect citizens. “Everyone has woken up. We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest,” he said.

Pointing to the jacket he wore, he continued: “Look at the clothes I’m wearing — they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”

The terrorist further claimed that Nigerians should place their hopes in divine protection rather than the government, insisting that authorities could not guarantee safety. “We are not concerned that they have arrested anyone. The government cannot secure you. You people should return to God to protect you, answer your wishes, and wipe the tears from your eyes,” he said.

The threat comes on the heels of two recent attacks on schools in Niger and Kebbi states, where over 300 students and teachers were abducted. The attacks have raised concerns about the safety and security of citizens, particularly students and schoolchildren.

The terrorist ended the recording by greeting his followers on social media, saying, “No one among the big men can wipe your tears. We have woken up. I greet all of you on social media. Have a pleasant day.”

Nigerian Leaders are Destroying the Future of the Nation by Exploiting the Youth

In many cultures, including Nigeria, elders are revered for their wisdom, experience, and guidance. They are expected to mentor and lead the younger generation towards a path of righteousness and success. However, a disturbing trend has emerged where some elders are exploiting and manipulating youths for their own personal gain, often for unlawful activities. This betrayal of trust not only hampers the growth and development of the youth but also undermines the very fabric of societal values.

The Vulnerability of Youth

Young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds or without strong parental guidance, are often easy targets for exploitation. Elders, with their authority and influence, can manipulate these vulnerable individuals into participating in activities that are detrimental to their well-being and future. This can range from involvement in criminal activities, such as fraud or drug trafficking, to being used as pawns in political or communal conflicts.

The Responsibility of Elders

Elders have a sacred responsibility to guide and mentor the youth, providing them with the wisdom and knowledge necessary to navigate life’s challenges. This role is not just about providing financial support or material benefits but also about imparting moral values and ethical principles that will shape the character and destiny of young individuals. When elders fail in this duty and instead use their position to exploit, they not only harm the youth but also contribute to the degradation of societal norms and values.

Breaking the Cycle of Exploitation

To combat this issue, it is crucial for communities to come together and reinforce the importance of ethical leadership and mentorship. Programs aimed at educating both elders and youths about their rights and responsibilities can be instrumental in preventing exploitation. Additionally, creating safe spaces for young people to report abuse and seek help without fear of retribution is vital.

Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future

Empowering youth involves providing them with access to education, vocational training, and economic opportunities that can help them become self-sufficient and confident individuals. By investing in the education and well-being of young people, society can ensure that they grow into capable and responsible adults who can contribute positively to their communities.

Conclusion

The exploitation of youth by elders for personal gain is a serious issue that requires immediate attention and action. By reaffirming the role of elders as guardians and mentors, and by empowering youth through education and economic opportunities, Nigerian society can work towards a brighter future where trust and respect between generations are restored, and every individual has the chance to reach their full potential.
