Bello was sentenced to death by hanging for Hafsoh’s murder.According to Hafsoh’s father, Ibrahim Lawal Adifalu, now that the court has delivered its verdict, the government should take the final step and sign the execution warrant.
He expressed gratitude to the judiciary, police, and Kwara State Government for ensuring justice was served but emphasized that the job isn’t complete until the sentence is carried out.
The family, through their lawyer, hailed the judgment as a landmark victory for justice but also stressed the need for swift execution to bring closure to the family and serve as a deterrent. The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union has also urged the governor to promptly sign the execution warrant, supporting the family’s plea for justice.
