Kwara Under Siege: Bandits Abduct Pregnant Woman, Children in Fresh Attack

Bandits have struck again in Kwara State, Nigeria, abducting at least 11 residents, including a pregnant woman and several children, from Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area.

The attack occurred on Monday evening, with the gunmen firing sporadically and forcing residents to flee for safety.

The abducted victims include:

  • Talatu Kabiru, 20
  • Magaji, 6
  • Kande, 5
  • Hadiza, 10
  • Mariam, 6
  • Saima, 5
  • Habibat, a housewife
  • Fatima Yusufu, another housewife
  • Sarah Sunday, 22, a pregnant woman
  • Lami Fidelis, 23, a nursing mother
  • Haja Na Allah, also a nursing mother

This incident follows a previous attack in the same area where three people were killed and 38 worshippers were kidnapped from a church.

The community has been experiencing repeated attacks, with residents expressing frustration over delayed security responses.

The Kwara State Government has been informed, and security agencies are working to locate the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
