Ex-Lawmaker Hon. Iliasu Ibrahim Demands 2027 APC Governorship Slot For Moro LGA former member of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Iliasu Ibrahim Moro, has called for the governorship ticket in the 2027 general elections to be zoned to Moro Local Government Area in Kwara North Senatorial District.The two-term lawmaker made the call while speaking on “Oro Ilu”, a flagship political programme on Sobi FM 101.9, argued that it was time for justice, fairness, and equity to prevail in the state’s political landscape.According to Hon. Ibrahim, Kwara North has never produced a governor since Nigeria returned to democratic rule in 1999, making the demand both timely and necessary.“Our people have been politically marginalised for too long. Since 1999, no one from Kwara North has governed the state. Moro Local Government, in particular, has neither produced a senator nor a House of Representatives member. This is an injustice that must be addressed in 2027,” he said.While there is currently no formal declaration by any political party regarding zoning, stakeholders across the state have continued to advocate for a fair distribution of power among the three senatorial zones Kwara Central, Kwara South, and Kwara North.
